The Cost / Rate for an Attorney to Expunge your Oregon Criminal Record

Generally, $600.00 for attorney fees for one expungement of one case number which may or may not include more than one charge. As of October 1, 2009, the State of Oregon charges a $250.00 filing fee and the Oregon State Police charges and $80.00 filing fee. Some counties charge an additional $80.00 filing fee. Thus, most cases can be expunged for $930.00. Additional cases require an additional set of documents and filing fee, thus there is an additional fee.

If you are able to travel to my office, we will also take your fingerprints at no charge. If you live out of state, you can usually purchase fingerprints for around $20.00 to $25.00.

Caveat: My attorney fee rate assumes that the motion is uncontested. If the motion is contested, then you will be billed hourly or given a flat fee rate. If a motion to amend an order is required prior to filing for an expungement, there will be an additional charge. An appeal will be subject of a separate contract. These rates are subject to change without notice.

Payment Plans: I will consider a monthly payment plan of $330.00 for the first month and two post-dated checks for $300.00 each. This offer is subject to change.
